Includes many people living in the US / born in the US to Puerto Rican parents.This helps to balance the sample because, while most people living on the island who tested are likely upper-middle class, most Puerto Ricans who migrated to the mainland come are of lower socio-economic status.

Makes sense. It seems to me that Cape Verde is like the DR without their trace Native ancestry.

Awesome! We can see in any Latin American country that the European influence is huge, I mean, almost everyone here has at least a % of european genetic. I don't know how many europeans went to Puerto Rico in the past, but here in CR, they were just a few hundreds of Spaniards and practically all of our iberian genetic comes from that tiny group.

Theres likely people who are higher. You just arent finding them. Ive seeon on FTDNA who was predominantly amerindian but only tested mtdna. I have to back track to see if I find him and see if I get his autosomal tested

Also this study doesnt include my mothers result. Where is the spreadsheet and sources to check?
