That Map is a shit.
1st. France is 5th century (Clovis I) conquered Gaul.
2nd. Italy is 7th century (Liutprand) conquered in 7th and before him in 5th (Ostrogoths)
3rd Why isn't Anatolia part of that map? The oldest European component.
4th. Why have you included Russians and Germany? Europe ends at the river Rhine
5th. Britainn is at least 4th.. for I have no idea when actually Saxons invaded
The oldest part of Europe that survived untouched is Balkans (Romania, Greece) included.
Modern Europe is ruled predominantly by Asiatic peoples.

How we draw the line? Oldest hominin inhabitation\settlements of the Iberian Peninsula date from the Paleolithic, that means at least 1.2 million years ago.
