Why is North Korea Dark?

Look at North Korea and South Korea. Why is north Korea dark? Go on google images and type North Korea from space, it's always dark. Do people use electricity there?

Maybe kim jong un is cutting the electricity cost of the population to save up for military means.

They don't have money to spend on unnecessary electricity. I saw a documentary recently, even the lifts in blocks of flats are not working, to save electricity. They have to walk up and down the steps every day.

I really feel sorry for North Koreans. America should stop being so aggressive towards it, and make peace. Lift all sanctions.

North Korea has none of this, so US can't destroy it to destabalyze the country. Kim is a genius.
