They most likely left no or close to no genetic legacy in the Levant. After the success of the first crusade, most had returned home. Many Normans were also back. I dont think they left Sicily behind after conquering it. After all, south İtaly was a Christian Catholic majority land and it wasnt under constant pressure unlike their kingdom in Antioch which was stuck at the seaside on the East Med coast.

As you can see, according to Bayeux Tapestry's creators there're only Angles and French on the battlefild. NormanDIANS as an ethnic group had not been invented yet at that time. But not just French thought that they're French . Anglo-Saxons considered them French as well
