Default Do Greeks look similar to Turks?

Im not trolling, Im just curious, because on a other forum some guy said "i look 0% greek and look "very turk"" but i said if i look "very turk" i could also be greek because greeks look like turks. Well there are light greeks but there are also light turks, there are darker greeks and darker turks. Also they are neighbours and share history together. Do they look similar? I think they do.

This question is always asked backwards.

Greeks do not look Turkish. Rather, some Turks look Greek because they are in fact of partial Greek or other Balkan descent. Anatolia was part of the Greek world for millennia when the Turkic peoples were still in Kazakhstan. On the other hand, Greeks have almost no Turkic ancestry, almost no Levantine component, and simply share Neolithic origins with Anatolia and the Caucasus.

Sort of yeah but I agree with Sikeliot that Greeks obviously lack the actual Turkic influences. But Turks are mostly descended from native anatolians so some similarity is to be expected. I think Greeks resemble Turks more than most Northern Europeans but less than Italians, Bulgarians, Iberians, etc..

Turks have some Levantine and Turkic influences Greeks lack. What they do share however is the native Anatolian ancestry, though most southern Europeans share this and it is not limited to Greece.

Of the Turks I personally know, they look more like off-white Latinos rather than looking Greek, and the Central Asian influence is clear. One woman though could fit just fine in Ukraine or whereabouts, but she is atypical. The Greeks I know look Balkan.

It's more than that in many of them. They don't look asian as a whole obviously but I've seen plenty of Turanid ones.

the central asian influence is more mythological then actual. they are 7% and only very few show turkic features, most look like mediterraneans or middle easterners
