There is definitely a Central Asian/Turkic input in many Turks I have observed. I wouldn't say Turks look Semitic - to me they look like Southern Europeans with a bit of chink thrown in. Minor overlap with Levantines, but they for the most part have their own look IMO.

Maybe but at the same time i just always think it's the region the people spent through generations. Like if someone had a family who spent hundreds of generations in a certain area (very close to Turkey) and due to the climate, they might eventually adapt similar characteristic. But if you compare a Greek person from Kefalonia or Zakynthos to a Turk, it might be far off genetically. Similar to why a Greek person from Thessaloniki or Florina is not similar in terms of looks with someone from Peloponnese. And even that, you don't expect people not to mix a lot dna-wise. My dad for example, comes from an area where there is little to no western asian influence hence my dna results showing none of it on his side.
