It seems on pair with what I got on FTDNA I think I got about 18% Metal Age Invader. Isn't it the same thing?

Nope, I score 40% or something in FTDNA (which is pure bullshit because I don't have a lot of EHG), Indians score 60%, its based on CHG for some retarded reason, its supposed to be based on both CHG/EHG.

I don't think so, since the peak score of Steppe is ... Basque (not kidding, check the spreadsheet) but more something comprised of "Steppe", "NE Europe" and maybe even a part of "Caucasian". I would say this so called "steppe" component here is rather catching something ANE and pre IE alone, which its distribution ca be very different than IE proper.

I tried an Iberian Middle Bronze Age sample and it got 28% Steppe.

Same score than Basques, so yea this steppe is not really IE on its own, also living in the Bronze Age doesn't mean every sample found at the time is gonna be necessarily highly IE admixed, it's only an era.

Norwegians who are supposed to be highly IE, score 24 but with a lot of NE Europe and little Caucasian.

It's not a calculator, it's a joke. When American mongrels even come to 30 per cent Steppe - then you should forget this calculator as soon as you mentioned it.
