European= native(=ethnic) to an area which is GEOGRAPHICALLY in Europe and being culturally/historically important to Europe.....Greece IS in Europe, the greeks invented Europe(even the term is greek) as we know it today and there was the birth of western civilization.

    Pretty much european, isn't it?

I don't really care about the continent of Europe -- And nobody is saying that Greece is not in Europe, ma copine...Yes, Greece is the birthplace of Europe. Check! Greece was the start of western civilization. Check!.... Heck, Greece also has the most attractive people in Europe. Check. Check. Check to all! ----- My point is Greeks to me are still more like Lebanese, Maltese and Turks as culture goes (than they are to Central/Northern Europeans). I would group them together. Not just their looks, even their music, dance style and food is similar! They're also loud, extroverted, emotional people - Swedes, Germans, Dutch, Irish, English, Poles, are nothing like that.

Just leave "Europe" out and see beyond the whole Europe thing. Because yes, Greece is in Europe. But that doesn't mean anything. A landmass doesn't identify you. Are Sicilians more like Swedes than like Levantines because Sicily and Sweden are in Europe? Y'all need to get the picture!

It is obvious that it shares cultural ties with the east, since Anatolia was greek, before, and byzantine, then. And not only Anatolia, even parts of Syria and Lebanon.

Also: you previously said that they look like levantines and that you would not group them with other europeans, this to me means calling them not european.

The misundersanding probably comes from the fact that I read your post in the context of the thread.

No - no Mediterranean Europeans - just Greeks. Italians, French, Spaniards and Portuguese have nothing to do with the Levant. Maybe some Italians. We have more to do with the Levant than Latvians for sure. Mainland Greeks are culturally, physically ad societal are closer to the Balkans than the Levant. We have nothing to do with their Islamic and Jewish heritage and way of thinking. We are on another level.

If you refer to sicilians, their presumed levantiness in culture is obviously overrated and sometimes invented, but it is obvious that southern italy, greece and maybe other south balkan areas share cultural traits with the levant or Anatolia. As i said previously, for a long times they have been under the same banner, and dominated by either earlier greeks or byzantines.

You're gonna tell me that their culture is more like the Irish and Swedes? Lmao. They're more like traditional West Asians, and there's nothing wrong with that. But this forum, as I have lurked here, cries about it! They are very beautiful looking people, especially the males. Even the geography of the Med is homogenous to the Levant - Mediterranean climate/vegetation.
By far some of the most retarded posts and some of the most classic bait everyone could post.

We don't look like Levantines, just like we don't look like northern Euros. We are what we are: SE Europeans.

Don't stress we dont have their YDNA heritage and they dont have ours.

But prefer to be closer to Levant than ignorant and loser Europeans. NW Europeans think they are the best - sure but they fought pigmies not Empires. So whatever they want to think of us we lol at them.
