Albanians actually found , not just modern state and nation of Egypt, but also modern state of Sudan.

Muhammed Ali took Egypt with 5,000 Albanians in 1805 and 5 years later with the same Albanians he annihilated all Mamluks in Cairo.

He took Sudan in 1819 with 6,000 Albanians led by his best albanian friend and General, Abeddin-al Arnaut.

He took half of arabian peninsula in 1821 with armies led by his son , Ibrahim Pasha.

Arabs were not allowed in the army till the reform of 1825 since some Albanians were rebellious and their number was low to allow the expansion of his empire.

However he maintained order on his empire only with his Albanians.

He later on took all Levant and by 1833 his empire stretched from south Sudan till southeastern turkey for 5 million Sq km.

He had to withdraw his lands in levant and Saudi Arabia in 1843 from pressure from western Jewish powers which stopped him 2 times to conquer the Ottoman Empire.

In his time , independent Albanian Pashas had created the first independent states in balkans and were ruling from Bosnia till peloponnese.

Let's not forget that he took Egypt after some sort of betrayal, he was sent there as Turkey's ('Ottoman state, never officially existed as you know) military envoy and took over the land through abuse of power. Not to mention, Albanians didn't speak their weird (Ghega or Tosk) language, nor Arabic like the random folk of Egypt but Turkic in the palaces of Cairo and Alexandria, following the tradition implemented by Turkish Mamluks (Bahri line) in the 13th century.
Mohammad Ali was a puppet of the Western powers. English allowed him to grow power there and when the time of Albanians came, the Brits took Egypt for themselves as expected.

The only thing you are right about is that he turned Egypt to a state center, after Egypt was a mere province of Turkey led from Istanbul.
