I dont "hate" them (such a strong word) but I fall into the many people that dont like Nickelback.

My resons for disliking them; A) The guy's voice is so annoying, it gets on my nerves. B) The songs are "catchy" but in a bad way, that kind of songs that you dont want stick in your mind, the melodies are just bad. C) The look of the main singer is unsettling. The mix of all these reasons always made me cringe at the band and their sound...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm odd when it comes to music Anything commercial just can't seem to get into it - just seems to plastic. There is not much mainstream music I like.

When I was growing up and around eight I was listening to Pearl Jam a lot . Then at university my group of friends were listening to Acid Jazz and bands like Groove Armada we were also into bands like Sepultura and System of a Down. My tastes are wide - but providing it doesnt feel like plastic and has good beat and melody then I will like it.

I also often wondered this in fact lately when I listened to radio while training a song of nickelback was playing and I thought "why do so many people hate this band wtf" . my answer might come off as exeggerating and some might think "dude it is just a music band . chill" . however OP asked actually a very good question because it shows very much how people in general especially nowdays function in their shitty brains . so my take on it :



because they make good music (matter of taste but it is my opinion)

and are sympathetic people (at least thats what they look like . the lead singer Chad Kroeger for example looks like a very friendly person. even if he would not be ...their lyrics often indicate it too . more about this on the end of my post)

and since most people are bitches they will of course not like it . they need their media hyped subhuman "stars" who dont even have any special talents often but are just hyped for the sake of it so . people are like that and it will never change why ? because most people are made to be controlled by a bigger authority to tell them what the fuck they are supposed to do and people also often dont like things that are good for them for whatever fucked up reason

ironically though if the members of nickelback suddenly died .... many of the shitheads who hated them before would suddenly light up candles for them and do some pseudo praying symbols in front of cameras
