Forces fighting Isis have raised a Spanish flag on recaptured territory, in solidarity with the country after last week’s terror attacks in Catalonia.

At least 14 people died and almost 130 were injured in two attacks in Barcelona on Thursday evening, and in Cambrils in the early hours of Friday morning.

Isis claimed responsibility for the attack that day.

A photo of Lebanese army soldiers waving the red and yellow flag near the border with Syria was posted to their website on Saturday.

‘A salute from our troops fighting Isis in the jurds [barrens] of Ras Baalbek to the victims of Spain and the whole world,’ a caption said. ‘Mkhayrme Mountain – jurds of Ras Baalbek #dawn-of-the-jurds.’

It was then repeated underneath with a Spanish translation.

‘Dawn of the Jurds’ was the US-backed Lebanese army’s biggest military operation against Isis militants yet.
Isis had gained a foothold along the border with Syria in 2014, but the campaign managed to root out extremists from their last enclave in Lebanon – effectively ending a terror threat that has loomed over the country for years.

The 12-strong terror cell in Catalonia had originally planned a far more devastating attack on Barcelona.
They had prepared to rent three vans, pack each one full of butane gas cylinders, and detonate them in various hotspots in the city.

One was going to be driven into the world-famous Sagrada Familia, a second was going to be blown up on Las Ramblas, and a third was to be detonated in Barcelona’s port area.

However the cylinders, which were being stored in a house in Alcanar, southern Catalonia, accidentally detonated the night before the planned attacks.

I'm also pretty tired of all this flag waving and tear shedding over every terrorist attack. Western publics are getting played by their own governments by conducting wars in the Middle East while taking in those same migrants they are bombing. What other result can be expected?

Western publics could give two shits if 10,000 people were killed in Baghdad, so why any Middle Eastern country would go out of their way to show sympathy is beyond me.

I think it is important for Muslims to show that they distance themselves from isis and Islamic fundamentalist.

It's more important that Western publics wake the hell up and demand that their governments stop these self destructive policies. I don't really care much for these superficial expressions, it does nothing to change what's really rotten at the core.

I want Europe to deport all muslims or mena but in one condition, they don't interfere in our business, you can't bomb a country and don't expect refugees.
