Hungarians arent Turkic people btw. They are a people who likely lived at some points with Westernmost Turks like Khazars etc but they are an Uralic people first and foremost. So at most, historically they are closer to Turks by their lifestyle, language etc than other Europeans do but that's it and nothing more.
And that's just in history.
Hungarians are culturally Western Europeans btw. Hungarians contributed to the creation and evolution of the Western culture in the past 1000 years.

Nah. The situation of Hungarians in Romania has no counterpart in Turkey.
The situation of the 15% (and growing with birth rates) Gypsies in Romania can be compared with the situation of Kurds in Turkey in the sense both groups never ever created any state or medieval kingdom or so in the lands they are currently living on.

Szekler Hungarians complain that lastly Romanians attempt to consider them an 'ethnic group separate from Hungarians,
Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén has labelled a voter initiative seeking the recognition of the Szekler people as an ethnic group independent of the Hungarian nation is “harmful and dangerous”.
“Szeklers are Hungarians” and “by the logic of this initiative” Hungarians could further be divided into various other ethnic groups, Semjén told MTI, stressing his opposition to the bid.
The initiative was either submitted “with good intentions” and “based on total incompetence” or “motivated by something worse”, Semjén said, noting that Romanian politics “has long desired to declare” that neither the Csangos nor the Szeklers are Hungarians. He said the bid went against both “historical reality” and Hungary’s national interests.

It is hungarians who convienced them they are hungarians, so they try to steal N.Transylvania.It is hungarians who consider them hungarian today and it is szekelrs who willingly declare themselvs hungarian, and not szekler.
