Having elite connections means never having to answer any questions or saying sorry. They are guilty as hell. They drugged their children instead of having someone to care for them while they were drinking. One of them ended up overdosing. They panicked, discarded the body (probably in the sea), and then concocted a story to hide their guilt. Poor people who do this end up going to jail!

These people were rich and could have easily afforded the best child care in the world. But no, they decided to act selfishly instead. They are without excuse.

I remember when the news first broke out, there was an insinuation that Portugal was unsafe. "They just wanted to go on holiday to Portugal..and then the unthinkable happens..." but then details started to trickle out.

The most horrible thing about it was that they tried to play the victim, insinuating that anyone who critiqued their parenting skills were somehow insensitive. "We've suffered enough."
