You are not Spaniard. Columbus accomplishment belongs only to Spain, it doesn't belong to Belguim or the USA. Infact Columbus never set foot in the USA.
USA is part of the Americas though. In the Dominican Republic there are Avenues George Washington, Lincoln, Kennedy etc.
I am sure than somewhere in the USA there are statues or busts of Romans and Greeks. My city is named after a Roman General.

Agree. But that accomplishment belongs to Spain and not Belguim.

Berkeley Campus seems to have polluted your mind too much together with American patriotism not tolerating a European disagreeing with you.

I'm trying to find examples of statues from other culture that indirectly were significant for a place, but I can't find it. In my opinion however, there aren't strictly defined rules for this and cross-national statues make sense.

I'm not counting Buddha statues in East Asia or Moses statues outside of the Levant. I'm neither counting a Marx statue in Moscow. Those are statues pertaining to ideology/religion.

A Roman general known for his farmer's values. After he was the Roman dictator in times of crisis, he distanced himself from power again to become back to what he was before, a farmer. Obvious not just the late Romans would consider him virtuous.
