    Seljuk Heavy Cavalry
"Three thousand of those who were called Agulani were said to be present, and they were afraid neither of swords, lances, arrows, nor any kind of arms, because they and their horses were covered with armor everywhere." was the commentary of Peter Tudebode, a priest of Poitou, France, who had born witness to the terrible presence of the Agulani Horsemen in the Seljuk armies at the siege of Antioch in the First Crusade.

High reputation and respect earned from even people who were their enemies and who travelled to the Orient to fight them.
Western Crusaders expressed their admiration, fascination after encountering and fighting them; going as far as pretending to be from the same racial stock as Turks and lamenting that Turks weren't Christians.

I guess the Seljuqs re-used late Sassanid Persian armor for their cavalry as I can see a striking resemblance
