The name "Poland" originates from the tribe "Polanie" which means "people living in open fields".

I will say like that: normal people, good people, nothing against them (if not
banderists) but it would be very bizzare, if a woman would want to marry one
(as general, becasue if you know someone, it is different).

    Why do you think so?

Ukrainian men are the most common foreign Slavic nationality that Polish women marry, 2nd are Russians, 3rd Belarusians. This data is for 1996-2011, before the mass Ukrainian immigration of 2014-17. As for Polish men marrying foreign Slavic women, it is 1. Ukrainian, 2. Belarusian, 3. Russian, 4. Czech. This data includes only marriages in Poland (citizens plus non-citizens), not outside of Poland.

Polish women marry Ukrainians 4-times more often than Russians, 5-times more often than Belarusians.

Polish men marry Ukrainians 4.5-times more often than Belarusians, 6-times more often than Russians.

But it includes only marriages in the territory of Poland, not outside of it.

It is probably because Ukrainian immigrants are way more numerous.

In such statistics, ethnic Poles without Polish citizenship are also counted as foreigners.

And similarly, ethnic minorities with Polish citizenship, are counted as Polish nationals.

For example my female cousin who emigrated to Germany married an ethnic Pole who already lived there and had German citizenship. So it counts as marrying a German national in statistics.

But it doesn't explain Ukraine. Polish minority in Belarus is more numerous than in Ukraine. I'm not sure if Ukrainian minority in Poland was more numerous than Belarusian before 2014.
