What was the best part for your country/nation in the history?
Come with economical,geopolotical, cultural, development examples.

For example, the best part of romanians/Romania history was definetly 1859-1939
Why? Because at that time the romanian society reformed so much, after we got the full-indepedence we finally started to develop in all the domains, all the romanians from our historical provinces united in one country.

Kind of unrelated but I'd be very interested in seeing how much better/worse living in America would be if we didn't have such a global presence and isolationism was dominant in politics. Maybe nothing would change at all, but I doubt it.

As a Golden Era of our nation, Czech people usually chosen between 2 periods:
1) 1346-1378 - Kingdom of Bohemia under rule of Charles IV.

Peace, Prosperity, Education (Charles University at Prague was established in 1348)

2) 1918-1938 - Czechoslovakia in interwar period (so called First Republic)

Democracy, Prosperity (until Great Depression), high-developed industries (Baťa (shoes tycoon), automobile industry (Avia, Tatra, Praga, Jawa, Laurin & Klement (predecessor of Škoda Auto)), etc.

Just after WW2, we were getting a steady supply of immigrants from Western Europe and we had the third largest navy after the war's end. As well as having solidified out national identity with actions like Liberating the Netherlands, our actions in Italy and our actions on D-Day and in Normandy.
