Black people has clearly a different voice, so not surprise the best singers are from black race and you cant see whites singing jazz because you need to have a powerfull voice for such thing. At least by Etta james is a classic of Jazz.

I don't know about Blues, but I am kinda familiar with Jazz and the first record of the genre was made by an all white band (members were Sicilians and Irish if I am not wrong).
