What is funnier is that the article is presented as if it is written by some researchers LOL

That's a random E1b1b guy on Eupedia who wants to connect himself to "steppe"

He's not ev13, where did you get that? He's written about all haplogroups

He gives both steppe and central Europe more likely as places of origin, not as definite options. To me Central Europe is more likely.

E-V13 is a well known neolithic haplogroup, its ancestor came from South Levant and formed the bulk of the Neolithic Farmer lineages in Southeast Europe. To associate it with steppe expansions is nothing but wishful thinking.

I don't know why this "steppe" fetish became so popular recently but everyone wants to be associated with steppe it seems, even a well known neolithic haplogroup (E1b1b) is getting associated by some E1b1b guy on Eupedia.

    Yeah, such a "steppe" haplogroup.
You cant really know where haplogroups came from for sure because even the Indo Europeans before entering Europe probably picked up different paternal lineages etc etc, same for every other poopulation, as for the OP, it suggests Albanians overall are pred. Yamnaya and WHG if we also go by other Albanian ydna's which is nonsense imo, i'm not familar with any hunter gatherers found with any E but who knows and if so if it is the ancestorvof EV13

That article has no legitimate basis whatsoever. Just a some guy's thoughts from Eupedia, trying hard to prove it's a European originated haplogroup.

J2b cannot even rule themselves. You need EV13 to rule over R1 hordes.

We did a good job by taking the R1 women, as shown in the Ancient J2b2 sample maternal DNA.

Mtdna changes often throughout the generations however, as the men take whatever women they want.

Btw Neolithic farmers were already present in Europe before the indo Europeans, including in central Europe, its also possible they picked some EV13 there and brought it to the Balkans, kinda like a back migration. Anything is possible.but he's suggesting it's from hunter gatherers as if there were no farmers or am i misunderstanding

I'm not against the idea that IEs might have picked up different paternal lineages on the road but the way the OP presents it is false. We know from the Natufian genomes that the earliest E folks were found in South Levant, so it is safe assume that haplogroup E1b1b (and its subclades) is originally from South Levant, it makes sense too considering there is a genetic continuity between Neolithic Farmers from Levant to Europe (Ötzi).

G and E1b1b were major Neolithic Farmer lineages.
