it s for the story , to appreciate the art of the designers and take a break from real life , not to simply play imagining to be superman

I understood your point up until you said 'imagining to be superman' and that just made it weird. That's what kids do. They pretend. I'm sure that's healthy for a child to pretend in the sense that they're seeing themselves in different roles and perhaps learning more about themselves but that's not normal for an adult.

i actually meant that adult gamers DONT do that
it became unnatural to me once i reached the age of 17/18

i believe it s normal and natural for adolescents too , i remember being 12/15 and imagining living in a fantasy world where i had to fight dragons while the teachers were explaining something boring

Playing video games had been my favourite hobby since I was very little, and playing video games as a form of entertainment is no different than people who watch TV or listen to the radio and so on.

That's my childhood right there. *sigh" I miss the 90's. I used to play Sonic the hedgehog 3 with my little brother back in the day.
