Ofcourse they were Indo-European. They spoke IE languages and came there in Bronze/Iron age from north.
If you mean genetically, they have mixed with native neolithic farmers after settling SE Europe, yes.

Yet? Do you mean, these are totally different people, or they werent yet slavinized?
If you meant the second option, then it change a little, almost nothing.

I think they became Slavicized in west Ukraine/SE Poland.
