Default Bulgaria first Balkan state in history?

Among current Balkan nations, I guess that Albanians are the oldest, considering their language, however they don't have true historical products. They were ruled by others, non-Balkan powers like Rome and Byzantium. Balkans truly became civilized as late as the 8th century. Native people got the ability to organize themselves into states and principates only back then.
And that starts obviously with the Bulgars.

More towards central Europe, it was Avars that brought the system of being able to create a state and form a nobility to rule the state and transferred it to natives and other neighboring people. Prior to that, natives in all those areas were under tribal structures, unable to unite and create states or empires.

    It's 9th century.
Bulgars created first ever state in the Balkans hands down some 100 years before Serbs acquired the ability to create a state. Serbs copy-pasted Avaro-Bulgar ways. Anyway, Bulgars owned you again in the 9th century later on.

Demographics always play, Bulgars got assimilated (a bit how we Turks in Turkey will also lose with demographics against Middle Eastern peoples who keep coming and breeding like rabbits).

Anyway, when Turkic Bulgars established the first ever Balkan state in history, here the social structure of the state:

    Demographics matter!

For summary, before Bulgars made their way into the Balkans, locals or other newcomers (Slavs) to the Balkans didn't have the civilisation to create whatsoever. Just subjects.

    Greeks/Byzantium isn't Balkan.

    Here Balkan countries (colored ones):

Greeks are more Mediterranean / South Euro than Balkan. Balkan is Serb, Bosnian, Bulgarian etc.

Bulgarian state in the Balkan is not first state in Balkan in history, than just first and last state which were created by some Turkic people.

Don't moan Serb, by the way late 8th century isnt bad for Serbs after all. Better than Poles or East Slavs.

Creating states and civilisations, throughout the whole history, was a gift coming from Heavens to only a number of limited nations.
State is metaphysical being and only few chosen ones can create. Others got that ability by either copy-pasting from the chosen ones or assimilating them and making them their own elites. This is how civilization was spread.

Croatia is the first Balkan state.
