Well it depends which Russian group. If we are referring to the North-West European Russians, yes indeed they are lighter-haired than Germans and obviously Austrians. However Eastern and Southern Russians are as a whole not lighter than Germans at least.

Firstly Russia is very vast, it's the largest country in the world and Mongoloid people have been in contact with each other for thousands of years in Russia! O.K.!!! Yes ethnic Russians are predominantly Eastern European in genes, but there others too. Who said that Germans and Austrians are "purer"? That's foolishness!
