TBH I think "half-Mongol" is a bit enthusiastic but I can definitely see the connotation. I've driven to Russia once and a good amount of people there have this pseudo-Mongoloid look.

Not the Baltid! The East Baltid type is the one that is very light - haired and light - eyed. Most Russians are not East Baltid, OK. The majority of them do have light hair, especially in the brown shades. Blondes are pretty common too, but are much less so than in very Nordid countries such as Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland or very East Baltid countries such as Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and of course Finland. There are part of Southern and Eastern Russia which are pretty much brunet.
