    Byzantine and Italian,yes

Oriental music as folklore is common only among anatolians and some Cypriots,
    Cypriot music is not oriental
If you ever listen to real oriental folklore for example Lebanese you will understand.
Also the music in the second video the Turk posted in this thread does sound Cypriot
or Aegean Island like but the custom of throwing money is modern and not part of the folklore
there as you can see in the traditional Cypriot dances i posted.

    Nowhere was money thrown

I think it's a Cypriot and maybe a Pontian Greek thing, not completely sure.

The first Greek wedding I went to was half (Cretan) Greek and half Anglo, and I didn't see a money dance at all. I go to my second Greek wedding this May, the husband is from the island Chios and the wife is from Central Greece, so I'll get back to all of you on whether or not there's a money dance.

I notice a lot of other Greeks here do their best at hiding any "eastern"/Balkan element to their culture. I'll make it clear that even if Greeks don't do the money dance, there are still plenty of other Greek wedding traditions that clearly resemble at least some "eastern"/Balkan elements. Like the large drums and the same and/or similar instruments, similar style dances (often with a rag), the same and/or similar food, etc. plus not to mention how LOUD AND WILD they are!

As for the picture, you don't have to be an anthropology master to understand that they are not Greek

The particular custom exists in middle east (including turkey) and Jews, but it may exist in Greek American community, as Greek Americans interacted with Mena people, because of both sharing NE American states as their main choice of settlement
The only Greek Americans and/or Canadians that do it are of Pontian or Cypriot Greek origin.

And it's not something that (Ashkenazi) Jews do either. Maybe Israeli Jews (because Mizrahi or Yemenite Jews), but not Ashkenazis in the West. I notice people on TA over-estimate the "easterness" of Jews, but they're dead wrong. I live near a Jewish community so I know.
