Read the book "Class : A Guide Through the American Status System" by Harvard professor Paul Fussell. The Upper classes in American conistently downplay cars as nouveau and drive either the most common newish non-expensive cars or old beat up expensive cars. You are a nouveau riche low class Indian that will not be accepted by the upper class, in America, with your flashy car and other conspicuous consumption profligerate spending ways. WASP style is understated etc..

Volkswagen GTI 2015, although I'd prefer a BMW like my cousin. I find VW to be overrated

American cars are shit and so are Italian and French.

German cars are atrociously overrated, overpriced and unreliable.
But they are very popular among immigrants.
BMW in France are typically for Black drug dealers.

German cars NOWADAYS are definitely overrated and overpriced. High maintenance costs due to the over-engineering, cutting edge technology, more complex drivetrains,electronics, higher performance engine, etc. Japanese cars run longer and cost less to maintain but they lack the handling and performance.

I've never seen any Renaults in the USA but it'd be cool if they were sold to the U.S. market.

That is because I was going by my last name , which is of Norman derivation, but then I took a DNA test which told me that I am mostly Celtic, Anglo-Saxon/British and Scandinavian.
