Default Origin of the european ancestry in Latin America

Origin of the european ancestry in Latin America

    1.900 Gedmatch samples
    Eurogenes K15

NN EE: North Sea, Balkan, Eastern Euro
    Med: Atlantic, West Med
East Med: Weast Asian, East Med, Red Sea

The chart below is european ancestry only divided in this components. This means it includes indomestizos/mestizos/harnizos/castizos/whites.

Notice how most samples are pretty homogeneous and the argentine sample is more heterogeneous, with some people scoring above the average east med (that could be due to ancesty from south italians/Jews/Arabs)

    Opinions?

Edit: I know Atlantic is not med but i think its pretty significant in iberians.

Nice, interesting to see how Brazil and Argentina score more East Med,seems to be Southern italian ancestry and in the case of Brazil it could well be due to recent lebanese admixture.

Yeah and I think that if we used samples only from northeastern or northern states in Brazil, results would be as homogeneous due to the lack of recent immigration to those states.

That's true, but in the southern states,São Paulo and Espírito Santo,non-portuguese ancestry is an important part of the genetic make-up of the white population
