Things is, tigers have been hunted to near extinction. There are only a few thousand left in the entire India. So, there is a high chance this is the first time these monkeys have ever seen a tiger.

I doubt twelve monkeys would die from heart attack simultaneously.

Initially that's what they thought but postmortems discovered no poison in their system.

The tests apparently revealed that the primates had all died from heart attacks.

Vets concluded that the only explanation was that the monkeys were scared to death by a tiger.
