I think the line around the hips should be raised be a few inches to be at her natural waist so her body can benefit from the full length A-line of the skirt. Where it rests now, it cuts off her body at a weird spot.

Otherwise, I think the overall dress and color suit her very well.

i would raise the waist and make the line thicker to define it better, shorten the sleeves right above the elbows and cut the length for some inches
