In Italy we have different types of folkloristic events with food and music such "Festa de l'Unità" or other outdoor community food parties (usually in countryside/mountain towns) organized by the local church, normally held during summer.

no offense but Southern Europe -and the United Kingdom I will add- sucks compared to Germany. Germany is technologically advanced, the streets are very clean and organized, and the people are friendly (including females). And the beer is awesome. Unlike Americans, they aren't fat and obese either.
At least this is the opinion of people I know who travel there - all of whom were Indians like me.

You sounds like you never been in South Europe... shame. I also have friends who were dissatisfied by cities like Munich, its food and hotels hospitality management. The opinions of the tourists are always subjective.

I've heard the Brits are the most obnoxious tourists in Southern Europe, followed by Germans.
