No, i am against to beating children. My mother did it to me when i was little and now, i really can't stand her generally but my father never did it to me, he always tried to explain me smth with his words and tried to make me a better person with a way that giving me some advices about his own life, when he was young just like me etc so today i adore my father and feel myself lucky that i am his daughter

Disciplining is absolutely nescessary.It differs from beating,beating is too far.

I rememeber as little my father and grandfather used to slap me when I fucked up.Later when I got beyond the age of the slap my grandfather got a stone pile in the yard and when I fucked up I would carry it from one end to the other the number of times he said.

I was a lovely child until around 11 when my mother married my stepfather. I believe now, he was suffering from PTSD after the loss of his wife to cancer at 30 and being left with his 5 children including two babies. The violence that ensued over the next 5 years scarred me for life as it does everyone who experiences it.

A decade later when returning from the UK and Europe, he got me a job working beside him and I finally met the man himself. A good guy. You forgive but don't forget.

Yes, I would and will spank my kids if necessary. Doesn't have to be aggressive or excessive but enough to make a point. When I was a small kid my parents would give me a slap in the butt if I was throwing tantrums or having ill temper.
