Dude, europe had two of the most devistating wars in history, and even before that, wars were common for european people. Once they got bored, all they did was just declare war on each other.
Considering natural selection, this just means the most intelligent and strongest people survive wars, meaning that the more wars a people have, and the harder their living conditions, the more intelligent they will become. (also known as "you grow with your challenges". And european people just had way more challenges in the past.)
Most likely islamic countries have lower IQs because they are closer to Africa and because of historic, geograpic and political/religious reasons, they just did not have that many wars. In europe, with such fertile lands, it is much more likely many people will get into conflicts about the lands, than in the middle east, where most is pretty much a desert.
