Scottish, my dad’s ancestors immigrated to New Brunswick Canada from Edinburgh Scotland and all of my dad’s grandparents were Canadians who moved to Maine.

I think my mom's maternal surname is a Romanian version of a Slavic surname that's apparently most commonly found in Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan.

And then in Philippines for some reason, France lol, Romania, Ukraine, Canada, Belgium and India.

When I search the way we write it, which is Romanian way, it only says it exists in Romania, but I'm very much sure it must be a derivation of that one.

Very rare in Turkey. My great grandpa came to Turkey from Serbia. And in 1934, surname law was brought into usage in Turkey (Before nicknames, so family names were being used).

He chose the surname 'Ural' since he was defending the idea that they had moved from Ural mountains area to Serbia around 7th-8th centuries.
