It's pretty damned good here. Housing is expensive now though. -1 for that and -1 for traffic.

Mild winters, warm summers, harbours, beaches, islands, forest and parks.

I do not live in a city. I live in a small town, population 34,427 (2010 census). It is a very picturesque little town and much of its area is wooded. I live 233 feet from the street and here it is very quiet, except when the neighbors' kids are playing. The police very seldom have occasion to visit this town. In the 61 years that I have lived here, there has never been a murder here. There was a bank robbery around 20 years ago, most notable for the fact that the robber made his escape (temporarily) on a Vespa motor scooter !

The "downtown" area (i.e. Main Street) offers 8 restaurants and 3 churches, a Post Office, volunteer fire station, a gas station, independent supermarket, a barber shop, a bank, a bakery, and a liquor store. The only things I miss are a hardware store and a pharmacy. All-in-all, then, our needs are pretty well met.

you live in a small town my town has 4.243 population lol but austria is very differen then usa, your town would be a city here where i live. in upper austria it would be a one of the biggest cities. linz is capitol and has 193.814 population

2. I don't like this city. I plan to move to Denver in January. My social life consists of a weekly Spanish group (the members are all retired pensioners), a monthly German group, and an advanced Spanish group that has dinner once a month. There are no nightclubs, the women generally aren't cute, and there is simply no one here, and nothing to do.

I have decided what my priorities are, and come to the conclusion that I will never live in an underpopulated city where there's nothing to do ever again.
