Default Simple question to Turks about their culture

Why did not the Greeks who were under Ottoman occupation for 500 years have not been linguistically outwitted.

But people who go to USA or UK lose their language in a generation

The Albanians in Greece barely know any Albanian at all.

So why couldnt Turks oppose their language on their European subjects if it was so powerful?

    Well?
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12

Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

    Well?
In the USA no one else is speaking the language it is hard to keep it going. I would think this is the same in other places. You need a robust community to keep it going.

Also, German was a popular language in the USA until WWI when anything German was seen as unpatriotic. Italian and German certainly would not of been looked as appropriate to speak during WWII in the USA.

America made it clear English is the language and English Common Law is the way we do things.

Well, in Albanian language there are almost 5.000 words of Turkish origin, if that helps...

Turks never interested in assimilating their subjects. Ottoman expansion was merely about military dominance. With the same reason why Greeks are not muslims today. You have been put under extra taxes as second class non-muslim citizens and it was enough for the Ottoman Empire.

Is there evidence that Ataturk was descended from Balkan ancestors?

No. The only speculation about his ancestry was about his father's origin but nothing has proven in that regard so far.

He is an ethnic Balkan Turk. Priror to the WW1 and Balkan Wars, Balkans are inhabited by millions of ethnic Turks, settled there in between 14-16th centuries. Around 5 million Turks moved back to Anatolia after the collapse of the Empire from all over the Balkans.
