Celts and Germanics in Central Europe 500 BCE - 50 BCE. It's an older map on this topic which actually has many uncertainties till this very day, so it may be taken with some question marks. But it looks to have been made with some consideration:

There are some mistakes. For example, by that year Arabic had largely disappeared from Sicily and Greek was not that widespread there. In Trento a transitional language between Lombard and Venetian languages was and is still spoken, not German. Slavic presence in half of Friuli is exaggerated, indicating it as an almost exclusive language, and in the same way the Romance/Venetian element in Dalmatia is likely inflated etc.

- German language border was likely more like on the map for the 8th century, right? (i. e. a little bit south of the Salurner Klause)
- As for Slavic language in Friuli it went till neatly before Udine, I guess.
- The Romance element in Dalmatia may be inflated for better visibility. But afaik there were "Vlachs" around at various places that also could be referred to by that Romance depiction.
- Arabic and Greek: interesting.

It's hard to say what the border may have been in the 14th century, but I don't expect it to be too different from today. The border between Gallo-Italic and Southern Bavarian areas will have been 2 or 3 towns north of the city of Trent. As for the Slavic-speaking areas I guess east of Cividale.
