All people are defensive, if she goes into a crowd and confronts them, what exactly does she expect? Warm hugs and well-wishes?
Docility is not an Eastern trait. If she has the right to confront them, they have the right to confront her.
She does not have more rights than they do.
And the fact that she felt perfectly comfortable to approach this crowd alone is not a testament to her bravery but to their restraint.

I don't know anything about that situation or why they were protesting so I won't comment further.
If those neighbours don't like the country and the institutions of the country they are living in, calling for them to burn in hell, they are as well free to move. They should have checked where they were going to before immigrating there.
Confronts them? She freaking approached them to ask them questions. Are they supposed to be peaceful protestors or soldiers marching into war? She politely asked them questions and she got rude insults for being "naked".

Most Brits don't believe in hell anyway, so I doubt they're worried about going there.

Muslims can say whatever they want to say.
If they'd incited a riot, I would say otherwise, but that didn't happen.

Free speech doesn't really exist, does it?

Back to the topic. The video I posted perfectly demonstrates why more and more countries are opting for a burqa ban.

Because you don't believe in freedom, or free speech, or any of those things unless people pretty much agree with you.
    Farce.

It's always measures like this that betrays your weakness when the intent is to intimidate...what you want is to ban Islam, but this is the best you can do.

    We've debated this before.
    It's getting a bit circular.

But you guys are still bigots. I mean, that's fine. I'm a bigot.
Just don't say you aren't, and claim the moral highground with your "freedom & equality" arguments. You don't see other people as your equals and you do not believe in freedom.

honestly why should we care if a woman wears the niqab? do you think terrorists make terror attacks while dressed as sterotypical muslim extremists???

Quite the contrary, I believe freedom should be protected from the ones who are against it, like the people in the video I posted.
Burqa is not a freedom nor a human right, according to ECHR.

how isnt it freedom? lol . we re all conditioned to wear certain clothes. if a woman feels more comfortable in hiding her look/beauty then let her be. the face is also an important focus of beauty , so you can cover yourself all but the face and many men would still be attracted to you and find you cute. this can be ok for some women but it isnt for few others.
it wont be that different than forcing women to wear mini shorts while walking in the public. you d feel the same as these muslim women do when they cant wear the niqab
