America is not Europe. For instance, in Europe there was never a formal seperation between Church and state. So it is illegal for a Catholic to be part of the British royal family etc... and if England can ban Catholics, historically, then they can pass laws to ban Islam. The church of England is Protestant. Same goes for other European countries that don't have seperation of church and state except for France which has the policy of Laïcité.
