what does that mean ?
Ahaaaa I got it, it means Albanised Slavs.
I think that will show demonstrably false since I share no cousins, neither ancestors nor do I cluster with Serbs anywhere in 23andme.
Knowing the region where I come from and the way Albanian is spoken in that place and by my grandparents we do Have Vllach Origins from the region of Gjirokastra and Korcha where my ancestors came from.
I know I am Vllach but I do not know of any Serbian connection to my bloodline.
I also have Italian, an 100% Italian ancestor was identified who dates back in 1800s.
I have clustered close with as expected Southern Albania: ( Korçë County and Gjirokastër County) this I knew before I did my DNA testing.
In Greece I associate closely with ( Peloponnese, Central Greece and Epirus ) Peloponnese was a bit of a surprise and that is the region I clusted the strongest with in Greece followed by Central Greece and Epirus which has again havily been inhabited by Retro Latins (Aromanians).
In Romania I have strong matches with people from ( Buzău County, Argeș County and Galați )
However it is interesting looking at your Hypothesis even though it does not apply to my case, I only have some weak matches with Croatia in Istria County.
0 in Serbia, 0 in Montenegro, 0 matches in Bulgaria, 0 Matches in Bosnia.
I do have strong matches in Macedonia but when you look at the map and my cousins in 23 and me they are mostly my cousins and people from my region which pretty much are of the same origin since we are a small 1700 people Vlacho-Albanian minority in that region.
