Read it years ago. A good book, not only for the subject but also well written.

The characters actually seemed true to life to you? I skimmed it and everyone who's not white and half the characters who are act like caricature more than living characters.

Well as an european, indeed some stuff seems a bit odd to me, but I put it on the cultural difference. But yeah a lot of things seems exagerate like the nuclear bomb and so on.

I read it a long time ago. Maybe I won't have the same feelings now.

Cheap but entertaining read, it was a real page turner for me.
Its prequel Hunter is bit more serious and better written, but it just doesn't have the same intensity this one had.
Turner Diaries was initially released serially in some WN newspaper, then collected into single novel if I remember correctly, which explains the action packed content.

I'm sure it's easier for you to imagine yourself in the book than me for obvious reasons, but the characters really don't seem like real people. That's a bigger impediment to the plot than the silliness with the bomb, I think.
