    It hasn't been that 'isolated'. It actually has influence from every people and empires that have touched the Balkans, especially Latin/Romans.

    Romanian-like is the safest description that could be given: its accent is very close to Slavic, but its easy to understand that its not a slavic language

    Yeah it's believed to share a common origin with Vlach-Romanian by many. That they were the same languages before Romanization from a common ancestor and even lived in close proximity.

    I agree, as they have both to do with thracoillyrian. However, we should not overlook slavic influence in accent of both as well
