Ignoring that this is a recent and fantasist painting, those are visigoths, not iberians. It was visigoths that were defeated not iberians.

There was no intermixing with Arabs in souther Europe. Islamic law prohibited Muslims mixing with Christians. And where is the source?

The word Arab means to be dark btw. The Goths were present during the Arab conquest of Spain. The book is called March of the Titans look at the above picture, he is the writer of the statement. No because Arabians are different race from Europeans, they are more basal Eurasian and the proto-Semites. The painting looks nice I must say, recent or not.

I don't think south mediteranean are more brown due to arab invasion. Just an adaptation to the environement. More sun => More tan.
Corsicans are darker too but arabs never occupied the place. They attack it many times but never occupy it so they can't let any genetic input. Same for Sardinia.

This, south Europeans didn't mix with Arabs, since like I explained in a comment of mine before, Islamic law prohibited Muslims mixing wit Christians. Sardinians are dark not due to MENA influence, but becase of adaptation to a sunny enviroment. And genetically speaking they are as European as Northern Europeans.
