For underdeveloped countries it means more poverty. High birth rates is only good for countries like Russia or countries with an aging population.

Indeed. But what I find fascinating is that they manage despite all this chaos. One think I learned visiting Egypt was not to look down on poor countries, but accept the fact all countries can't be the same. Overall I think Egypt was a charming country can't say I disliked it or its people.

In Egypt many throw their trash on their roofs and it looks pretty ugly. All this, Air pollution, garbage, crowded streets make life difficult for Egyptians and still they seem so upbeat and happy. It has always intrigued me.

Where do you get the idea that the average Egyptian is happy? It is bellow Myanmar in the ranking of happiness which is one of the most authoritarian dictatorships in the world. Even worse than warn torn nations like Iraq.

Maybe they're unhappy now after the egyptian spring but they are naturally happy imo. That was my impression from my visit there.

Egypt cannot handle this rapid increasing of its population and it has to export Egyptians to other countries.

Already Gulf countries are filled with Egyptians, and lately I see lots of Egyptian immigrants in Greece. Probably there are many in Italy too.
