Gypsies the evidence are overwhelming to the point nothing can be argued. At most you can seek for influence from other people but that’s limited to it. They were Oghur elite who dominated Slavs and natives.
Lol they werent Indo-Iranians.
Possible but they even try to explain that thru Turkic.
‘Among the proposed translations for the phrase kanasubigi as a whole are lord of the army, from the reconstructed Turkic phrase *sü begi, paralleling the attested Old Turkic sü baši,

A Brown midget calling us Gypsies, wow
Anyways, no one denies they were Turkic, at least the elite Bulgars were Turkic but don't happen to show much if any Mongoloid which is quite interesting

Slavs are the lowest form of human civilization in Europe. In all aspects, they were the most culturally degraded of all peoples in Europe. This is also the reason why your Slavic-Roma ancestors adopted the elite names of the Turkish kings and warriors. Otherwise you would be the first Gypsie state in Europe today.

Wherever Turks came, they destroyed a civilisations.
Now they are proud of the Greek buildings in the ex-Constantinople (IStanbul) and represent that as Turkish.

Danubian Bulgaria was founded in 681 AD.
Bulgar state was first ever state which was founded in Central and Eastern Europe, which means they had higher civilization level than all native people living in all those areas.
The last Bulgar khan with a Turkic name was Omurtag. He died in 831 AD.
Historians think that following his death Bulgaria was quickly Slavicized and by 900 AD the Turkic language disappeared.
So Bulgaria has been led by a clearly Turkic elite for between 150 and 200 years.
That's not a short period of time, and that's the most important era since it was genesis and development.
