Default The genotype doesn't always reflect in your phenotype

i find that very interesting. some more northern shifted individuals are darker then some of the southern ones. why? even the 23andme have a section called "Traits Reports". in there u get predictions for your skin, hair, eye colors and, although, u plot somewhere northern then other individuals they know u have darker features. why is that? i'll give u an example:
    this girl

    she's 99.4% European, 0.4% east asian
    balkan 59.0%
    italian 5.9%
    Broadly Southern European 14.9%
    Eastern European 6.8%
    Northwestern European 3.2%
    Broadly European 9.5%

and this is her brother..they hardly even resemble each other

(this girl is not his sister)

I have the exact same situation with my sister. I regularly told her that she is adopted.

Learning about, talking about and classifying European phenotypes is fun and interesting, but it shouldn't be taken TOO seriously.

Her GEDmatch result would be more indicative of her genotype as "European" is an extremely broad category that includes non-European (i.e. West Asian) DNA. Its possible she has more West Asian and Med than the other guy. But I do agree anyways that genotype (on DNA tests specifically) and phenotype may not always be the same. That still doesn't change the fact there is a heavy correlation between the two.

Genotype does correlate with Phenotype on group level but on individual level humans are very diverse.

Genotype=Phenotype. Phenotype is just a physical expression of your genotype.

So why don't people all look the same? Because all modern Euro ethnic groups are of mixed origin some are less like Basques or Sardinians, some are more like Romanians.

Different ethnic groups brought different looks with them and so the gene pool became more diverse, however genes that are responsible for your look are drop in the ocean compared to your overall genome, so there are light Romanians and Swarthy Estonians f.e.

I guess it depends from which group she inherited certain genes for skin tone and facial features.

Their grandfather is "black" (probably mulatto in reality) and this is how different they look:
