This specific ancestor was the first generation in the Ottoman Empire, Greece (his parents left Spain in the expulsion, probably from Cabanillas in northern Spain).

Well, my paternal family belong to the "bayt al-lafy" or the "house of levy" clan from modern day Haifa, so it's very likely I'm descendant of the ancient Jewish levites of coastal Israel/Palestine. Yup.
