"Rights" are protections from the government or the state. Access to a manufactured product a service or procedure, birth control pills, implants, abortion, can't be a right of any kind. In various parts of the world there is no access to it.

Even if the state paid for the access or product, it can't be a right. Manufactures could choose to not the make the product or doctors could choose against performing abortions. What about a faulty product, or faulty late delivery of pills?

People have a right to go live in a country they agree with and not cause incessant problems in the country they live in.

Nothing should be a human right. Let each nation decide its laws.

But access to BC is important in the face of world over-population.

One of my relatives on Facebook posted a status about birth control being a right, and a lot of people agreed with her.

Birth control is useful but it's not a right.

Yes, especially for countries like India, Pakistan and many other countries with the highest birth rates in the world like those in Africa and etc which would have great negative consequences to the planet if this trend keeps up.

One of the comments on the status:

Access to birth control in the USA is super easy. Not sure what that poster is complaining about. Very troubling she expects government assistance raising her one day soon to be kids. If you can't afford to have kids don't do it, and get married first.

Irrelevant. Indians moving to the USA are the least of anyone's issues or problems. They stick to themselves, and don't stir up any trouble. Not to mention Hindus aren't trying to convert Americans to Hinduism and believe in religious freedom - which ties in with birth control since religious conservatives are opposed to it.

We're socioeconomically even higher than most Anglos here which would means we're leagues above Southern European types - Italians, Greeks, Balkanoids, etc
