Well one side is kinda a blank now, all things considered. Farthest back is in 1831 in Mantua, Lombardy, Italy on my direct fathers side and on my mothers Id say around the 1200's in England.

I can trace several members on my mom's side back to 1631 and earlier to England and Cornwall. One person we can trace back to the 12th century to an Italian village called Feremino. He was called Pietro Il Romano because "Il Romano" was an honorific which one could adopt if they had studied in Rome. This name changed throughout history to Romaine in French, then when the Huguenots were chased out of France to the Netherlands, the spelling was changed to Romijn. They then went from the Netherlands to England, and then on to America.
On my father's side, I have only gone back to the late 19th century to Laois (formerly Queen's County i.e. Gael. Contae na Bannrionn.) in Leinster and others from Galway in Connacht and Monaghan in Ulster.
My paternal great-grandparents were Volksdeutsche from Elsass/Alsace.

Up until 1500s my maternal family tree. This is the about 1600 onwards and about upt to late 1800s, early 1900s. We have a copy somewhere from earlier eon too.
(All I can say is damn, after 1800s they reproduce like rabbits. My grandpa were 8 siblings, my grandma was 6, and her father remarried (great-grandma died in last childbirth) and had 5 more kids.
From my paternal line, both parents around 1600-1700s.
Btw, all ethnically Greek except my great-grandma, the one who died in childbirth.

I need to ask my grandparents... I know maybe 4 generations back... Only surnames led me back to Spain a few centuries ago...
