If someone condemns a high degree of degeneracy but engages in a low-medium degree of degeneracy, then that's not all that hypocritical. Either way, I don't care all that much if religious folk act hypocritical but as long as they condemn wrongdoings, then they're doing something good. They could be better, but they could be worse as well. At least they are contributing to pointing out the problems in our society which is better than idly doing nothing, or worse, encouraging the problems.
