We Spaniards also invented:
-Racial classifications.
-Blood purity (Pureza de Sangre)
-Blue veins (sangre azul).
Then the anglos copied us.
Yet we are told by ignorants that we are not white (according to US census for example):
And about amerindians seeing Spaniards as white gods according to their old legend...it could be totally realistic since the Chachapoyas culture is said to be pure European in origin (there have been DNA analysis about their remains and most of them are R1b, of the Spanish variety basically), and there are some historians defending that in times of the phoenicians some celtic people from Galicia arrived to the Amazonas, and all the tribes were hostile to them so they finally went to live to the mountains in Perú, and lived isolated as an ethnia. This is were the legend could have come from and in fact it is a real historic episode. Just search about the chachapoyas. Even there are people living in the area today (an almost pure amerindian area) that still have the R1b halopgroups and some of the people are redheads.
So, white gods are comming back could be a real thing.

also "race"
https://www.atlasobscura.com/article...hcentury-spain
The vocabulary the English colonies adopted for race had roots in the Spanish colonies. “Negro” came into English from Spanish in the mid-16th century and “mulatto” a half century later. “Sambo”—in Spanish a mix of “black” and “Indian”—became a derogatory word for blacks in English.
Even the word “race” came from Spain, where it was used to refer to people of Jewish descent. As the social anthropologist Audrey Smedley explains in Race in America: “In fact, ‘race’ did not appear in the English language … with reference to human groups until the seventeenth century. . . It is quite likely that the English adopted the term ‘race’ from the Spanish.”
While the Spanish used “blood” in the racial context by the sixteenth century, the English examples of this period pertain to family relationships of aristocratic descent. It was not until the eighteenth century that the English colonies used “blood” in a racial context.

Father Anthony Monserrate was a Portuguese Jesuit who encountered Parsis on his journey through Gujarat to visit Akbar, the Mughal emperor, in Fatḥpur Sikri around 1580-83. He commented on their base in Navsari and noted their Persian ancestry. Like other Portuguese, he compared the Parsis to Jews “[i]n colour they are white but are extremely similar to the Jews in the rest of their physical and mental characteristics, in their dress and in their religion” (Firby, p. 91).
Unlike you I have actual sources and quotes.
Parsis are an INDIAN group(let alone Spaniard). This was even before your 17th century claim and several other Portuguese and Spanish explorers who came since then have said the same thing. They made claims like "whiter than us" etc. Brits who ruled India said similar thing.
The first Indian to get citizenship in the US for being "white" was Bhicaji Bulsara (also a Parsi).... This was in the 20 the century.
Whiteness is a social construct. There's no clear definition of the white race.
Some "white" people have faced a TON of discrimination in the US, like Italians by "proper white" people. They even look slightly different.Calling them white makes little sense to me.
What's everyone obssession with trying to look white? Did you forget all the wars with the British all the pain etc at the hands of white people? This obssession is getting pretty pathetic and even Spaniards are now into it.
White means "white Anglo Saxon Protestant" (WASPs). Only the US really cares about Whiteness or Blackness.
Socially, no one thinks the average Turk or Sicilian is white haha. Even Spaniards are "off white"/"different whites".
Also the open talk about what Spaniards did to slaves and the English n word being used freely by you all. Say n word, n....a not the full thing.
Absolutely disgusting.

Second time i'm asking, could you post the "whiter than us" quote? I can't find any quote that makes references to "white people" or "whiter than us", i have only seen one quote comparing parsis to jews on wikipedia.
That would be a very strange quote to make in the 16th century.
